Celebration of LIFE!

This was the final memorial that was planned by Courtney’s Family and his best friend Jeff Davy. It was held at Jeff’s Shop Devious Customs in Ontario, California. The turnout was amazing and the amount of people that came to show how much Courtney had a real impact on their lives was a great way to honor him. Many of his vehicles were there as well as a host of other trucks, cars, bikes and hot rods.

The crowd quickly built up as the sun started to make its decent for the day. Some massive sandwiches were put out along with some table-length burritos that Tito really would have dug into. A fully-loaded bar was constructed using the rear fenders from Jeff’s Peterbuilt Truck that is under construction.

Everyone gathered just after dark inside to watch the memorial videos that had been put together. Before the lights went out in the shop to watch the videos, Jeff pulled a cover from the top of a one-off piece of art that contains Courtney’s ashes. It is a breathtaking piece that was built by D-Bob and painted by K-Daddy as well as Craig Fraser. All of them were long time friends of Courtney’s.

After the videos concluded, Jeff made sure to give special thanks to everyone involved. He would like to thank Bob Hase, Moses for DJ’ing Courtney’s Mom Maggie, Jennifer Baker, Shenoa Robinson, Brian Goude &  John O’Neill for the video, Shannon, Rusty the bartender and all of the members of Courtney’s club Negative Camber.
The night was filled with a few tears but mostly laughter, stories and memories of Courtney Halowell. It was a great testament to the impact he made, the lives he changed, the friends he had, the family that made him who he was, the work he put into the custom automotive scene and most of all, the love we all had for the one we affectionately called Tito.

T-Shirts, Stickers, and More

For those of you that haven’t already seen them or ordered some, there are some shirts and stickers being sold to remember Courtney as well as to help his family with their financial needs.

They can be found at: http://tito.graphicdisorder.com

The people responsible for these, Brandt Fuqua and Shelly Mayes wanted to do something to remember their friend and give everyone that knew Courtney a way to keep him with them. Brandt, Shelly and a crew of volunteers have already made and shipped many boxes of shirts and stickers out to those who have ordered and they aren’t stopping anytime soon. Orders are still coming in frequently!

Legends Never Fade

Everyone is trying to do whatever they can to help out Courtney’s Family and this was the best way for the Graphic Disorder crew to pay their respects to a guy that was their friend, fellow club member, and even a customer that had worked with them on several projects in the past.

The best part about this is that they priced the items low to make sure everyone could afford to get a tribute shirt and they were still able to provide Courtney’s family with a sizeable contribution after just the first run of products. They did not keep any money for themselves or to cover their time. They truly donated every spare cent they didn’t need to use to pay for the products and shipping.

Courtney’s family would like to thank Brandt, Shelly, and their volunteers for all of their hard work, extra hours at the shop, and support.

In times like these, it is great to see people come forward to help out in any way they can.
